Everyone loves snow days and beautiful weather the winter brings. People take advantage of winter weather and having fun ice skating, sledding and, of course, winter fishing.

But now the spring is just around the corner, many great family events in this first weekend of March and the days are starting to get a little bit longer. Make some memories!

March Tabletop Game Day

If you and your family love games, then this monthly event is for you! Everyone is welcome, and there will be games of all types, from light, quick family games to in-depth strategy games that you can sit at for hours.

A full collection of games will be available to play, and you can bring down your favourite titles as well!

Engineering & Geoscience Week – Children’s Activities

Free children’s activities running on Sunday afternoon provide kids of all ages a chance to have some fun with engineering and geoscience during Provincial Engineering and Geoscience Week;

from building structures out of gumdrops to bridging a raging river using straws, and even digging for cool rocks and building a working circuit, there’s something for everyone.

Details: March 3, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Location: Kildonan Place, 1555 Regent Avenue W, Winnipeg.

Arctic Snow Tube Park at Parks Canada Place

Konex Cable Tubing is a linear cable system consisting of two towers with an overhead cable that pulls tubes/riders back and forth along a snow track for a continuous 5-minute ride.

Dogs ride for free with their owners. Hot chocolate for purchase, free marshmallow roasting.

Details: March 1, 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. March 2 & 3, 12 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Location:  The Forks, Winnipeg.

Cost:  $5/ride
