Crossfit Winnipeg helps people with cystic fibrosis.
In January, many people start thinking about training especially hard. After all, the festive season could be reflected in the figure. Crossfit is a very popular training session nowadays, and it gathers lots of people. However, on Saturday, the training was different from the usual one - Crossfit Winnipeg decided to help collect donations for people with cystic fibrosis.
Each resident of the city who decided to take part in the donation had to pay $60 for training. The contribution of city residents will help Jeremy Vosbourgh, a Winnipegger affected by CF, to go to Peru next spring. All remaining money goes to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
Vosbourgh said that now he feels much better due to Crossfit Winnipeg.
“I have cystic fibrosis, and sometimes I find these workouts really difficult,” Vosbourgh said. “But I also find them quite rewarding and quite beneficial to my health, so it was kind of a way to get that out, that we can do hard workouts and that they’re worth it and they actually pay back.”
