A new medical law should save many lives in the future.
According to the new law, doctors are able to disclose the patient's diagnosis and other important information in case of need. In addition, they should not let a patient with mental problems leave the hospital without being accompanied by his close people.
Bonnie Bricker, a woman who lost her son because of suicide said that if this law were in force in 2015, she might have been able to save her son. As the woman said disclosing confidentiality between the doctor and the patient is a really reasonable decision and can save many lives in the future.
The law began its action on Tuesday.
