Lorne Ronald bought his winning ticket at Mississippi Jack’s Car Wash on Beaverhill Boulevard for the Oct. 19 draw and was shocked to discover that he was one of two Winnipeg winners.
“I hoped I had one of the winning tickets,” he said. “I always hope that I’ll win something, but this is crazy! I never expected it!
As of now, the winner is not sure how to spend such a jackpot, he thinks most of the money will go to his saving and will be used later, for the retirement needs.
Just a couple of weeks ago another Winnipegger also won a million dollars in the lotto, thanks to his luck. Bradley Houston said he had to check his winning lottery ticket a number of times before reality set in. On Tuesday, October 23rd the winning ticked played its part and now we have 1 more millionaire in Winnipeg.
Houston couldn’t really believe his luck, “I called a couple of buddies to come and look at the ticket with me. I’ve never won a million dollars before – I had no idea what to do with myself.” Houston, who recently retired, said he purchased his winning ticket at the lottery kiosk in Grant Park Shopping Centre on September 28th.
