Police found 94 illegally grown marijuana plants

Despite the fact that it is officially allowed to smoke cannabis in the province, growing it at home is against the law.

On October 19, the police searched a house located to the north from Winnipeg and found more than 90 marijuana plants there. All plants were confiscated, and the owner received their charges according to the law of the province.

After the adoption of the changes in legislation, residents started violating the law most of all in such ways:

use in transport, use in an unauthorized place, use by persons under 19 years of age, use of illegally purchased cannabis.

The police ask people to be aware of the laws for using cannabis and not to violate them.
