Crime spree in West Winnipeg

Monday night was not a quiet night, few vehicles were broken into, items stolen, bicycles stolen from a backyard and more. This so-called “crime spree” ended fast with a group of teenagers arrested.

October 8th between 10:20 and 11:20 p.m. a group of teenagers committed multiple crimes in West Winnipeg. Three cars were damaged, broken into and personal items were stolen on Lumsden Avenue. Also one of the vehicles was spray painted with an obscene word.

Later the suspects moved to a different location, they had damaged a vehicle on Risbey Crescent and broke into another vehicle on North Lake Drive. Afterward, they decided to get into one of the backyards of the residence and stole bikes.

Winnipeg Police had arrested all the suspects and uncovered stolen bikes and other items along with two other bikes, that were probably also stolen previously. Three young girls were arrested, ages from 13 to 16 years old. Also a 14-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, all facing multiple charges, the investigation still continues.
