RCMP: “No excuses!” There are really no excuses for speeding, for going 50 km/h over the speed limit, even if you are running late, even if you are late for work!
Unfortunately not all the drivers understand this and follow the regulations. Just yesterday, September 20, Manitoba RCMP pulled over a 26-year-old woman, who was going 157 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. Her excuse was that she was late for work! Police officers don’t really need to hear any excuses from drivers who were caught speeding, if you speeding – you will get a ticket. This drive got a $796 dollar ticket and was really late for work.
Manitoba has some of the highest speeding fines in all of North America, local people should know not to speed ever, but apparently, some either are not aware or don’t care about the rules, the law, and some wallet-hurting fines. All the drivers have to respect the law and traffic regulations, especially be careful in construction zones and school areas, were fines are nearly doubled.
