Terry Fox Run got more than 150 people together

Canadians from all parts of the country gather together annually to help raise funds to fight cancer.

Terry Fox Run was not like the previous years, it was also a show of solidarity and love this year. Nancy and Bob Adkins informed that their attitude to the festival was special this year because they decided to take part in the marathon in memory of his son.

Their son died of cancer at the age of 43 years. People told that their son and his family always took part in the Marathon of Hope and it was a great honor for them to contribute to the memory of their son.

Mark loved to run from childhood, and the whole family supported this idea. That is why his daughter, Bob and Nancy’s granddaughter, suggested to her grandmother and grandfather to do that act in Winnipeg in honor of her father and their son.

This idea was supported not only by the parents of the deceased man, but also by his other relatives and friends, and about 150 people took part in the marathon in his honor. “ Team Mark” was genuinely surprised when she collected more than 30,000 dollars. they did not even believe their happiness seeing such an amount of money.

The result which the team received gives them the hope that they will be able to influence research and help find new drugs and means that can help fight cancer and save the lives of many people in the future.

Next month Mark’s family is going to take part in the marathon, which will be held in New York. They will do it also in memory of his son and in his honor. Mark always said that there is hope, and his family sincerely believes in it and will continue the activities of Mark.
