Dillan and her mother collected about $1000, organizing a charity soup store.
All the money earned from selling home soups will be given to Steinbach Community Outreach. The representative of the community said that she was pleasantly surprised when a parcel was delivered to the community, inside of which there was a pink lunchbox filled with money.
The girl's mother reported that her daughter has a very big heart and she is full of ideas and a desire to help other people. The woman also noted that all advertising methods were used and, in the end, their idea received tremendous support and as a result they sold twice as many goods as they had planned initially.
The girl told that her menu had the following soups: borscht, cheeseburger soup, and chicken and rice soup. The girls’ mother told that both grandfathers donated $250 when they learned about the idea of their granddaughter.
The local store, to support the idea of the girl, also contributed and allocated several soups for sale. The girl is very pleased with the results and reported that she and her mother plan to organize a similar charity shop every fall.
