A fitness club for the whole family worth $30 million will be built in Bridgwater neighbourhood in Winnipeg by the end of 2019.
The new facility will occupy an area of 80,000 sq. ft. and will provide services for people of all ages and different opportunities. It will be named Altea Active Club. The appointment of contracts and the commencement of construction is scheduled for October this year. All construction works will be carried out by contractors from Winnipeg.
The co-founder of the company that will own this center is a well-known sportsman Michael Nolan. He is six-time champion of Canada in the decathlon and considers his mission to carry a passion for sports and healthy lifestyles to the masses.
According to Nolan, he and his companions decided to collect all sports and health-improving services for people under the roof of the new fitness center. The convenience of visitors to the center will always stand in the first place. For example, Altea Active Club will have a special training hall, intended only for women.
Nolan announced that a new sports club will provide an opportunity to deal with various sports for all tastes, including skating, cycling, yoga, running, rock climbing and many others. You can even go through a special course of ninjas.
Michael has two children, so he knows more than anyone else how important it is to instill love for sports and an active lifestyle in children, and not encourage their sitting in front of a TV or laptop. That's why the center will be directed to sports and recreation for the whole family. There will be various family events, as well as a cafe and numerous recreation areas, and a children's playroom.
