A terrible crime was committed on the Pembina highway on Friday at about 11.30 p.m.
An 18-year-old person who was situated on the highway with his family became the victim. He was attacked with a knife. They unloaded their car when the criminal came running and stabbed a guy several times.
The ambulance quickly arrived at the scene and took the victim in critical condition. Now his condition is assessed as stable.
The Police quickly found the suspect and already detained him in the 1800 block of that highway on Saturday. He turned out to be a 20-year-old resident of Winnipeg Nathaniel Sean Capay. Now he is in custody.
As the Police stated, the victim and the perpetrator were not acquainted. The worst thing is that at the scene of the crime was a 7-year-old niece of the victim, who was knocked over.
