Last 4 days were not just busy for local police and hospitals, but really intense with 8 stabbing cases that happened in just four days.
Most of the victims were delivered to the hospital for treatment, some came in themselves. With a few patients delivered to the hospital in critical condition, most of them were upgraded later to a stable condition and no risk for life.
Here is the list of stabbings from Winnipeg police:
August 17: A 48-year-old man was stabbed near Princess St. and Notre Dame around 5:55 a.m.
A 16-year-old woman was stabbed in the 900 block of Banning St. around 3:50 p.m.
August 18: Around 1:25 a.m. a 24 and 28-year-old men showed up to the hospital with stab wounds to their mid-bodies. One of the men said he had been stabbed on Princess St.
The same day a 19-year-old man and 21-year-old woman were victims of attempted robbery in Central Park.
August 19: A 58-year-old man was stabbed in his upper body in the 700 block of Wellington Ave around 1 a.m.
August 20: 3 men were stabbed in their midsections around 6:10 p.m. in the 500 block of Agnes St.
A 19-year-old man was stabbed in his mid-body area in the 100 block of Edmonton St.
August 21: A 30-year-old man was stabbed around 7:35 a.m. in the upper body in the 400 block of Maryland St.
Police believe incidents are not connected with each other, even though most of them were robberies or attempted robberies, resulting in mostly mid and upper body stabbings.
