Last month Winnipeg Child and Family Services took the baby away from the woman at St. Boniface hospital.
As it became known, the woman admitted using drugs and alcohol during the period of pregnancy. At the same time, she denied that she was under the influence of anything when she was brought to the hospital for the delivery.
Shortly after the child’s detention, a lot of videos hit the social networks. The woman spoke negatively about the child-welfare system. In her opinion, the thing is that she belongs to the Indigenous and the city authorities do not objectively perceive such people.
At the hearing that was on Wednesday, a man made a statement that he is the father of the child. Due to new facts in the case, the hearing was postponed for a week.
