Marijuana recall expands to 14 products

Starting October 17th marijuana is legal to grow, sell and to buy throughout Canada. It doesn’t matter if you are using it or not, cannabis is coming, it is already here and as of today, it is sold in your local stores and online.

Manitoba regulators confiscated all cannabis products provided by the company from Winnipeg, which was sent to licensed retail stores.

The management of Liquor, the Gaming, and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba and the Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries Corporation state that the sale of all cannabis products produced by Bonify has been suspended due to quality control problems.

Health Canada expanded its initial recall of Bonify cannabis products on Monday, to include 14 additional lots. Almost 5,900 units of these products have been sold, said Health Canada, in two Saskatchewan stores and throughout Manitoba.

Last week Health Canada published a review of two varieties of Bonify cannabis products, which were sold in three Saskatchewan stores.

Health Canada stated that the products may not meet certain restrictions on microbial and chemical pollutants established by federal cannabis use regulations. Consumers are invited to return Bonify products in their original packaging to the store where they were purchased.

The lots include products named Critical+, White Widow, Sensi Star, White Berry, Wappa and CBD Shark Shock. To date, no complaints have been received related to the recalled lots. Neither Health Canada nor Bonify has received any adverse reports for the recalled cannabis product.

For those of you, who purchased Bonify and other marijuana products that are under recall, it is recommended to return it to the store it was purchased from and get another brand, which is checked and certified. Such measures are for the customer’s safety and to ensure that each pot product is legal and safe to consume.

Our Go204 team decided to visit one of the legal stores and see for ourselves the new kind of stores in Canada. Delta 9 Cannabis is still seeing lines of customers outside the doors two months after legalization.
