Wonderful news - Winnipeg again won first place as the best cultural city according to Culture Days rating.
This organization creates a rating of cities due to registered activities during Culture Days weekend. This is the sixth time when Winnipeg gets the first place.
Nicole Matiation, co-chair of Culture Days Manitoba and Nuit Blanche Winnipeg informed that Winnipeg is a very valuable place in the arts and culture for the inhabitants of Manitoba.
Culture Days weekend gives the opportunity for artists, cultural organizations and inhabitants of the city to get together and to plunge into the atmosphere of art.
This year Flin Flon beat Toronto and is very proud of this event. It even posted We beat Toronto message on the local community centre’s electronic message board. Portage la Prairie took the third place.
Crystal Kolt, co-ordinator of Flin Flon’s Culture Days events shared his opinion and said that he really loves Culture Days. This is a chance for all Canadians to become closer and to become more aware of the cultural heritage of the country.
The festival takes place annually and it allows Canadians to learn a little more about the cultural values of its people.
