Grateful doctors Winnipeg Hospital St. Boniface ordered a portrait of a dog named Rusty. A portrait professional from Ottawa Gale McGregor did a great job on this one.
For almost ten years Rusty, a fluffy dog wearing glasses, three times a week comes to the hospital with his owner George Ames, calming both the patients and the staff with his appearance and behavior.
“After a stressful day, the sight of a funny dog wagging its tail lifts the spirit and brings a smile on the face,” said Stephen Cashman, one of the doctors that stand behind the initiative.
“It helps you remember that there is a lot of good in the world”, said Cashman.
