On Tuesday, October 16th a random attach happened in the Exchange District.
The victim, a 42-year-old Red River College instructor, was attacked – seemingly randomly – from behind near William Avenue and King Street. A male victim was delivered to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, mostly to the upper body. The doctors do not worry about his life, even though some wounds are pretty serious.
Police say the suspect is in his late 30s to early 40s. He’s described as between 5’11 and 6’0″ in height, with a slender build, dark eyes, and sunken, noticeable cheekbones. His black, straight, shiny hair is described as shoulder length and curled at the bottom.
Winnipeg police also released a security camera video showing the attack and a blurry image of a suspect wearing a blue or a purple hoodie with a work Canada across the chest area.
The investigation still continuing and police are asking for public help, possible witnesses are asked to step forward with a possible photo or a cell phone video of the attack or a suspect, or the statement if they can with useful information. Please contact the local police department or leave a tip online at Crime Stoppers website completely anonymously, any help is highly appreciated.
