Missing people reports coming in almost every other day throughout Canada. Thompson serves as the regional trade and service center of the province in the north of Manitoba.
Since May of this year, Thompson RCMP is still searching for a missing elderly woman. Dianne Bignell, 60-years-old was last seen on May 17th in the Jupiter Street area in Thompson.
Local police and other services were looking for her since, but recently there was a new development, they are hoping will help to locate a woman. Bignell`s jacket was found near the river, search still continues. The RCMP Underwater Recovery Team is searching the bottom of the Burntwood River. Divers are using sonars and other modern equipment to help with the search.
