The era of the ‘80s returns to the city of Winnipeg: at the end of September, all residents of the city will be able to return to the ‘80s coming to the Nuit Blanche celebration.
On September 29, in Winnipeg Art Gallery there will be an event that will immerse all guests into the atmosphere of the ‘80s.
This event is called The ’80s Image and it will collect art that was made under the inspiration of the era of the 80's in the museum. All guests will be able to enjoy movies, music, and dances at this free-of-charge party.
Pictures by Peter Doig, Wanda Koop, and Eleanor Bond will occupy a special place in the museum because their works can truly convey the spirit of that era.
Nuit Blanche celebration invites a lot of people to have fun and to get closer to art every year. The director of the holiday believes that the ‘80s is a very bright period which repeatedly imposes its imprint on all contemporary art.
