On Tuesday, August 21, all the friends and family of Ben Harris got together for his funeral.
The boy was killed by a car last week. RCMP reported that a 15-year-old boy was riding his bike together with his friend. Suddenly, a car hit them. Ben died, the other boy got serious injuries.
A 29-year-old man was behind the wheel. He slowly got out of the car and walked off the crime scene on foot. The Police were able to identify the suspect and to find him after a while.
The man was charged with a number of charges, including a murder and body injuries.
A lot of people came to the funeral. Ben Harris was a very friendly boy who loved music a lot. In honor of the boy, there was fundraising. All the proceeds will go to a scholarship that will be given to students that are fond of music every year.
