Local citizens are really excited by the recent news about Uber Eats in their city.
This new delivery service is like SkipTheDishes that is so familiar to all Canadians. Uber Eats will deliver foods from the best safes and restaurants in Winnipeg. Winnipeggers will be able to order, to pay, and to track their delivery online using Uber app.
At the moment, there is information that Uber Eats will collaborate with Jeffrey’s Restaurant, Saucers Cafe, and East India Company Pub & Eatery. However, the list of places will gradually expand in the nearest future.
Stuart Deacon, the owner of Saucers Café, also shared his excitement and said that he had been waiting for this service for a long time.
Uber Eats will compete with SkipTheDishes. SkipTheDishes was created in Winnipeg in 2012 and a lot of city cafes and restaurants want to see positive changes in the work of this service. So, Uber Eats will definitely urge the local delivery service to take steps to improve its work.
Also, Uber Eats offered restaurants and cafes more favorable financial terms of cooperation, explaining this by the fact that they do not have any hidden fees, customary for other services.
SkipTheDishes commented on the situation and explained that their drivers get $0.25 per every minute if they are waiting for the order for more than 5 minutes. There is a fixed $10 fee for every 15 minutes of delay. The delivery service also added that they allow cafes and restaurants to update their menu for free.
By the end of 2018, Uber Eats delivery service plans to begin its operation in 100 Canadian cities, in addition to Toronto and Winnipeg. This is great news for all Canadian residents.
